Frère cadet du célèbre dramaturge Pierre Corneille (l’auteur du Cid et de L’Illusion comique), Thomas Corneille était lui-même connu pour ses divers ouvrages dramatiques;   il fut aussi lexicographe.

En 1671 il collabora avec Molière, Lully et Quinault sur la production de la tragédie-ballet Psyché.

The younger brother of Pierre Corneile, author of The Cid and one of the most famous playwrights in France at that time, Thomas Corneille was himself a well-known dramatist and lexicographer.

In 1671 Thomas Corneille was engaged along with Molière, Lully and Quinault in a collaborative attempt to produce the tragic ballet Psyché.
